NEWELY is an EU Horizon 2020 FCH JU project that aims at redefining Anion exchange membrane water electrolysis (AEMWE).
The project works on the design, component and material development of a new AEM water electrolyser prototype, demonstrating long-term durability at relevant operating conditions. With the innovations on the materials, on the cell and stack design and with the improvements in operating conditions, NEWELY represents the new generation of AEMWE.

Project Consortium
The NEWELY consortium consists of eleven partners: six renowned R&D centers, three SMEs and one global player and world leader in the gases industry. Together the consortium covers every aspect of water electrolysis and green hydrogen production, paving the way to a sustainable future.

NEW SCIENTIFIC PAPER: AEM STATE OF THE ART AND REQUIREMENTS
The scientific paper “Overview: State-of-the art commercial membranes for anion exchange membrane water electrolysis” has been published on the last issue (31 July 2020) of the Journal of Electrochemical Energy
