NEWELY is an EU Horizon 2020 FCH JU project that aims at redefining Anion exchange membrane water electrolysis (AEMWE).
The project works on the design, component and material development of a new AEM water electrolyser prototype, demonstrating long-term durability at relevant operating conditions. With the innovations on the materials, on the cell and stack design and with the improvements in operating conditions, NEWELY represents the new generation of AEMWE.

Project Consortium
The NEWELY consortium consists of eleven partners: six renowned R&D centers, three SMEs and one global player and world leader in the gases industry. Together the consortium covers every aspect of water electrolysis and green hydrogen production, paving the way to a sustainable future.

3rd SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATION IN JOURNAL OF POWER SOURCES
We are proud to announce that the article “Optimization of the membrane electrode assembly for an alkaline water electrolyser based on the catalyst-coated membrane” has been published in open access on the

NEWELY PRESENTED AT MODVAL2022
NEWELY’s researchers Ronit Kumar Panda, Guillaume Serre, Pascal Schott, Yann Bultel presented at Modval2022 their modelling work on the NEWELY electrolyser. The oral presentation detailed the need for modelling the AEM water

FOURTH PROJECT MEETING
2022 will be an exciting year for the NEWELY project! Most of the testing on the stack and the membranes will be concluded and new publications are expected by the
